Would be better in the studio but it's great for working with what you've got. I like the wind in the background. Gives the song an eerie calmness. There are a couple spots that don't quite fit with the rest of the song.. but all in all it's a good song. Good to zone out to. :)

I listened to your music at least 3 times on the way back to Canada . I found your music very easy to listen to, familiar on some tracks while different too. I liked most of the music.

Frog, here's just some thoughts on a few of your tracks. Please remember that I'm just throwing in my thoughts. If they are helpful to you, great. If not, ignore them. I enjoyed listening to your work a lot, but you asked for critical reviews. You have a unique vision musically and poetically plus great guitar skills and a highly original and appealing vocal instrument.

Changing Love, first off great vocal style very appealing! Also, nice story telling in verse. The lyrics kept my interest because of the easy flow of the storyline. My only suggestion is that maybe the flange (or phase shifter) effect on the guitar is a tiny bit too wet. It sounds at some points that your guitar isn't completely in tune with it self - which I doubt is the case. My personal opinon is that it is a great effect to add fullness to the six string sound, but a little less might yield more. I also realize that you might not be able to change this at this point so take it for what it's worth...2 cents is the going price, I think.

Drum by the Fire, excellent. I would love to use this as the rhythm track for like an album worth of material (lol). I love the effects and the organic instruments, creates an entire symphony of overtones and harmonics.

Self Unkown - again, compellingly original vocal style. Warm, earthy and perfect for the kind of poetic story telling you're so good at. I enjoyed the listen and your performance. Critically speaking, I wonder was this a live performance? Doing it again by laying down backing tracks and lastly vocals (which I admit is a pain to do sometimes and you risk losing some of the great live playing vibe!) might be time well invested.

Visions - great narrative prose. Seemed like a slam performance, there's just a couple of times my old ears thought could would benefit from a more rehearsed reading.

Samhain - Another great example of narrative prose. Well done on the vocal track and the guitar playing is great. Just my opinon, but I was wishing the guitar playing wasn't hiding behind the guitar effects so much. I'd love to hear it with a nice clean guitar sound on the finger picking and the little lead fills left wet. Just an idea, it's great as is too!

Somber September Night - as one who's spent many of them, I absolutely love this track. It documents an experience in sound. It's story telling in sound, and as such lights wonderful fires in the imagination of the listener. Very good work!

Over all, I love your stuff and you approach. I worry slightly that your overly in love with certain effects patches or even more worried if you are hidding your talent a bit behind these gadgets. If the later, shine a bit more light on that wonderful earthy talent you have so everyone can hear it better. That would be my one request for you.

I received cd in post today and endured the first song, the second song
I could sort of get into and the third song is way cool.

I left the cd playing as people got in and out of the car today and the
response was mixed. The general consensus was "This is weird" but
after a couple of tracks it changed to "who is this guy, he is not bad."

I have stated that should they want to buy the cd then they need to
bring the money with them next week and for an extra $20 I can get
it signed as a limited edition with a personal message. (Well I am
broke and need to make a quick buck somewhere)

This is a cool cd Frog, worth every penny and worth waiting for.
Thanks for producing it.
